Horizontal Boring Bar Machinist Job Openings:
We are helping a local Manufacturing Company that specializes in the production of progressive stamping dies and precision machined parts find a horizontal boring bar machinist. We are looking for an experienced Horizontal Boring Bar Machinist for their first shift. Wage: $60,000 to $80,000 dependent on the individual's experience, record of accomplishment and demonstrated skills. Hours: Mon-Fri 6 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Sat: 6 a.m. 10 a.m. (not every Saturday/occasional depending on workload) *Times may vary* Overtime available and sometimes required.
Duties:
- Operation of Manual Horizontal Bar and mills.
- Basic set up and machining of steel and cast-iron parts.
- Make any tooling changes if needed.
- Basic preventative maintenance to machines.
- Use of measuring tools (Micrometers, Calipers, & Rulers both Standard/Metric) on all parts.
- Reading blueprints, schematics, and SOP's.
- Needs to work with all types of steel, castings, weldments, ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Requirements:
- 4 years of Manual Horizontal Boring Bar operation and or manual machines. Devlieg experience is a plus.
- High School Degree.
- Knowledge and understanding of how to use micrometers, calipers, and ruler s standard/metric.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Have skills at operating Manual or cnc Horizontal Boring Bars
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
