Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-time Operations Assistant to join our team for a six-month temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will assist in managing various administrative tasks and offers a unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization at the forefront of promoting diversity and inclusion in the tech startup ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain excel spreadsheets based on guidance from team; generate and compile monthly and quarterly reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help maintain internal databases (we use Airtable and Notion), shared documents, and external databases such as Crunchbase and CB Insights.
  • Monitor company inbox and ensure all inquiries are addressed by relevant team members.
  • Assist with formatting one-pagers and PPT templates and updating website content.
  • Support event planning activities such as tracking RSVPs, coordinating catering, reserving venue and other resources, and providing in-person event support if required.
  • Provide other administrative support as needed, which may include scheduling meetings, processing invoices, requesting information on behalf of the team, consolidating event survey responses, sending information to stakeholders, etc.

Qualifications:
  • College degree is not mandatory, but candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of success in similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively and with little oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with database management tools (knowledge of Airtable and Notion a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for creating equitable access and opportunity for all, with a particular interest in promoting diversity within the startup ecosystem.
