Sales Specialist


Job Details

Our client, a large financial institution in Wayne, PA, is looking for an Asset Sales Specialist to join their team on a 3-month contract. As an Asset Sales Specialist, you will execute the remarketing activities of assets for different departments of business and end of lease management of the active lease portfolio, to maximize the value of and profit on assets, which have to be remarketed. You will be responsible for the following day-to-day activities:


  • Explore remarketing opportunities (long and short term) in trader and professional end-user markets
  • Identify potential buyers within national/international context
  • Manage the daily operations of our online remarketing portal
  • Focus on data management, analytics, and resale statistics to maximize equipment sales potential
  • Proactively manage the inventory levels across the region for both size and aging
  • Liaise with asset management and Product Overlay Asset Management and Remarketing, collections and recovery and financial partner on assets, and sales/account management
  • Ensure valuations for assets at the end of the lease cycle and in case of early terminations, to determine expected market value and decide on refurbishment and/or remarketing
  • Determine and negotiate terms and conditions with lessee in case of extensions
  • Arrange and negotiate contracts for resale or refinance
  • Arrange for the timely collection of restocking fees, excess usage, and damages to equipment
  • Execute appropriate documentation, invoicing, and administration
  • Determine, negotiate, and organize logistics to ensure cost efficient and effective delivery of remarketed assets
  • Ensure communications, coordination, reporting, and meetings are completed as a precondition for effective and efficient remarketing

Your Profile:

  • Experience in the field of remarketing or leasing of assets in the trading and professional end user market, nationally as well as internationally
  • Demonstrated broad network of dealers and traders of equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to timely close sales based on assets features and application
  • Broad experience with extracting data from various sources and analyzing large data sets for conversion into useful business information
  • Expert technical understanding of assets
  • Broad experience and knowledge of the legal and financial aspects of remarketing
  • Knowledge of distribution and concepts
  • Demonstrated strong computer, Microsoft Office, and social media skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact at different levels internally and externally
  • Interaction with others demands influencing, changing behavior and perceptions and creating the right climate



Additional Information :

Duration: 3 months; potential for extension



Location/Hybrid Requirements:

  • Local candidates ONLY. (Must be within 50 miles of Wayne, PA office)
  • *In-office attendance requirement is 8x/month with the possibility of additional onsite days depending on business needs
  • Thursdays are required
  • 2 of these 8 days MUST be Monday or Friday


Working Hours:

  • Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST


Job Profile:

  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience
  • Asset sales, equipment leasing, and remarketing experience
  • Great communication skills; experience communicating with dealers
  • Some administrative/customer service background could be helpful, but primarily looking for an individual that fits the above profile
