FULFILLMENT CENTER MANAGER

Role Summary

The Fulfillment Center Manager (FCM) reports to the Vice-President of Operations. They are responsible for all fulfillment center operations, including mentorship of the team and the complete inventory and product distribution cycle. The Fulfillment Center Manager directs the daily activities of a high-volume pick, pack, and ship Fulfillment Center, and the key responsibilities include planning and execution of weekly volume as well as managing the day-to-day operation of the facility's staffing, ensuring inventory accuracy, Food Safety/Quality Control, coaching, and all personnel related issues. The FCM ensures the team will perform in ways that consistently exceed the client's expectations of the experience, the service, and especially the value, all while exemplifying our company values and culture, culminating in satisfied customers and accomplishing the mission.

Key Result Areas

Operations Management

  • Responsible for all budgeting and reporting, including the fulfillment center's labor and operating expenses.
  • for all product life cycles, including receiving, shipping, storing, and distributing products and material within the fulfillment center.
  • best-in-class working and safety procedures and physical layout for the entire FC.
  • the warehouse team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Integrate and partner with clients, displaying customer-centricity to improve associate safety and experience, operational efficiency, quality, and costs.

  • Partner with client leadership to implement change and drive results.

  • Drive continuous improvement and support LEAN and best practice initiatives.
  • adequate staffing, equipment, and space utilization to fulfill production goals during peak holiday weeks and non-peak periods.

Skills / Qualifications

  • have 7+ years of experience working in a fast-paced warehouse/production logistics/ high-volume pick, pack production, or manufacturing environment.
  • managing a team of at least 30+ employees.
  • degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Logistics, or other related field; Master s degree preferred.
  • in using warehouse management systems and technology.
  • to use KPIs and data to manage and improve processes.
  • a professional business demeanor.
  • to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Driver's License needed.
  • driving box trucks and vans preferred.
  • potential for prolonged standing, walking, squatting, and bending.
  • ability to lift to 50 lbs.
