Payroll Specialist

Independent Mortgage Banker is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our team.


Responsibilities:

  • Creating and updating employee cards in the accounting software to reflect accurate commission schedules for commissioned employees.
  • Keep track of employee deductions that include but are not limited to minimum wage deductions, health insurance deductions, etc.
  • Complete applications and submission after approval of all new state and unemployment tax set ups.
  • Provide payroll processing company with any tax rate determinations, notices or other communications that effect how payroll is calculated/processed.
  • Email commissions paid out on a semi-monthly basis to loan officers.
  • Process payroll semi-monthly
  • Contribute to the accounting team effort.
  • Any other task assigned by management.


Qualifications:

Degree in business related discipline (Business, Accounting, Finance, HR, etc.), or a minimum of 4 to 7 years in Payroll/Tax related positions

Basic knowledge of payroll tax and garnishment processing

Experience with Kronos

W2, 1099 payroll processing

Payroll: 2-5 years (Required)


Compensation: $50,000 annually
