Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of plant operations that will include driving efficiency improvements, schedule optimization, and ensuring adherence to quality/compliance standards with food safety regulations
- Manage labor costs, capital expenditure spending, and profit interests
- Utilize financial acumen to make informed decisions and drive profitability
- Develop and implement long-term strategies for plant growth and optimization
- Evaluate repair quotes and make data-driven decisions to optimize maintenance spending
- Directly manage a team consisting of a warehouse manager, maintenance supervisor, quality specialist, HR specialist, production supervisors (processing and packaging), planner, and sanitation lead
- Supports the R&D team in the development of new products and processes, supports production runs, costing of labor, and scrap standards for new products
Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and profit interests
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
