Commercial Door Technician
Job description
Opsource has partnered with a commercial door company located in Duncan, SC. The specific division is the hollow metal and wood door division.
Pay rate:
- Pay range of $15-$20 an hour, depending on experience.
Shift: - 1 st shift positions. Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (some overtime may be required)
Duties will involve: The Technician will be responsible for all aspects of automatic door installation, including Installing, troubleshooting on service calls, Surveying, Commissioning and Fault-Finding on new and existing sites.
- Installing and commissioning automatic doors.
- Surveying sites for redevelopment.
- Service, repair, and routine maintenance of automatic doors for new and existing customers.
- Ensuring the schedule is achieved as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to meet targets and deadlines.
- Provide Technical Support, to the Customer, Planner, Director, and the overall business.
- To ensure all Internal Maintenance is performed daily and reporting all maintenance issues to Manager.
- To ensure housekeeping is adhered to and maintained.
- May include some nights away from home.
Qualifications: - Possess a degree of product knowledge in a variety of automatic door systems.
High School Diploma/GED (Preferred).
Prior experience in a similar role or one that required a mechanical aptitude preferred.
Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work at heights and use a ladder.
Must possess valid driver's license and good driving record.
Customer service oriented.
Able to work occasional Saturdays.
Job Responsibilities: Repair a wide range of commercial doors and door hardware including roll up doors, dock doors, dock equipment, high speed rolling doors and commercial entry doors.
Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services.
Track and maintain job related paperwork and submitting in a timely manner.
Operate in safety conscious manner at all times while performing job duties.
Other duties as assigned.
