**Summary**

The Production Manager internally titled, Manager Customer Logistics will oversee the day-to-day operations within an assign function, and is responsible for all aspects of Operations and Account Management . Mainly responsible for the leadership of direct reports as well as the attainment of daily operational goals within his/her assigned functional area.

**Essential Functions**

* Develops daily production schedule that meets delivery and inventory objectives.

* Communicates with management regarding any deviation to the agreed upon daily schedule.

* Reviews daily production progress to verify deadlines and ensure all schedules are being completed on time. Inform sales, customer service as to current or potential conflicts.

* Monitors inventory levels in warehouse to ensure necessary product is available as required.

* Preparation of production scheduling forecasts as required to support resin needs for the S&OP.

* Facilitate scheduling optimization by recommending improvements to production planning, material flow, etc.

* Proactively create daily work orders, production schedules and set press priorities.

* Manage BOM accuracy and BOM change request process at Shelbyville.

* Create part numbers for new parts or modifications to existing parts.

* On a weekly basis, Planner/Scheduler is to continue to track and report resin inventory levels and issue finding to Warehouse Manager and Plant Manager (silos, weekly resin usage, RR car status and etcetera).

* Daily communication and collaboration with the Human Resources, Molding, Maintenance, Sales/Customer Service and Procurement departments with regards to labor, expected, changes in demand, order prioritization, status of equipment, preventative maintenance schedules, and other pertinent information.

* Communicate as needed with Customer Care and Sales regarding current and future orders, ship date adjustments, expedites, and other pertinent information.

* Coordinate and plan with outside/custom molders as well as any intercompany requirements between plants.

* Interact with the Director of Planning to ensure maximized equipment loading and reduce bottlenecks across divisional production requirements.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

* Ability/willingness to travel to customer locations in support of GM Crisis Events

* Off shift support in the event of critical customer network disruption or crisis

* Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

* Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

* Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills

* Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

**Qualifications**

* Associate's degree required

* Bachelor's degree preferred Related field

* Five (5) years or more Logistics, Transportation, Warehouse or industry related field experience required

* Five (5) years or more Previous plant experience required

* Five (5) years or more Contingency planning and crisis management support experience required

* One (1) year or more direct supervisory experience required

* Five (5) years or more 3PL experience required

* One (1) year or more LLP (lead Logistics Provider) background required
