New **TrinityRail** is looking for a **Buyer** to work from Trinitys Corporate Headquarters in Addison, TX. The Buyer will manage procurement for indirect materials to support all Trinity Products facilities. This includes both OEM and support of Trinity Rail Maintenance Operations (TRMO) facilities as needed. This role is critical in the managing the scalability of the TrintyRail Supply Chain. The chosen candidate will be involved in supplier management, supporting vendor-managed-inventory (VMI) solutions and plays an important role in driving cost improvement across the Trinity enterprise. * Ensure adherence of purchased materials and products to Company and regulatory standards, and support the operation schedule across multiple Trinity manufacturing sites.
* Manage buying related activities both inside and outside the ERP system.
* Work with plant personnel to schedule and reschedule orders, determine new procurement requirements and resolve invoicing and shipment issues.
* Assist in development of processes to resolve invoicing issues, working closely with accounting teams.
* Resolve issues with suppliers about discrepancies in price, terms, returns, supply or quality by renegotiating price, replacement or back charges.
* Obtain quotations when applicable, place orders and arrange shipments.
* Bachelors Degree Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management strongly preferred or any equivalent combination of experience
* Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience
* Experience in data analytics
* Bilingual skills (English / Spanish) strongly preferred
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
* Business acumen specific to a manufacturing environment
* Advanced computer literacy with Excel, Word, PowerPoint required
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment necessary to be successful
* Ability to work in a team environment across all levels of the organization is essential
* Has capabilities and ambition to be more than a transactional and tactical buyer
* Ability to travel (less than 20%) to various plant locations
