** Lead Material Handler (Depot-Support, 1st Shift)**

**Principal Accountabilities**
In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
* Reviews receiving flow throughout the day to ensure proper resources are deployed to meet requirements.
* Reviews and communicates job specifications to ensure product is being received according to instructions.
* Communicates with corporate personnel regarding order status, compliance issues, and inventory status.
* Assists with tracking performance measures and other data.
* Ensures warehouse staff are at work stations on time as assigned.
* Communicates status of department goals/standards and takes appropriate action.
* Conducts random quality control audits of inbound shipments to ensure compliance.
* Coordinates cycle counting activities.
* Monitors dock activity and product flow.
* Trains employees in methods and procedures.
**Safety**
* Conduct safety training and enforces safety programs.
* Ensures assigned areas of warehouse are clean and orderly and that inventory is in proper locations.
**Quality and Environmental Management Systems**
* Ensures team is trained and utilizes Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001-2000) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).
* Ensures systems are continually improving.
**Relationship Management**
* Responsible for hiring, motivating, evaluating, developing group/department personnel.
* Provides coaching and mentoring to team members.
* Advises management and provides recommendations on personnel and problem issues ( that require escalation).
* Builds strong relationships with peers and Senior Managers to best meet company goals and objectives.
* Manages and leverages relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc).
* Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations.
**Department Management**
* Operates within budgetary constraints, participates in the development of annual budget forecasts; participates in updating and reconciling operating and budget plans as required.
* Develops and maintains written departmental standards and procedures.
* Directly contributes to development of tactical and annual operating plans, defining goals and objectives for the group.
