Tal Healthcare is seeking a dedicated full-time Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) to join a health system in the NY Metro area. As a Surgical PA, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality primary health care services under the guidance and supervision of the department and esteemed Surgeons. In this role, you will ensure seamless continuity of care for patients, from admission to discharge. Responsibilities will encompass a wide range of supervised duties, including performing in-house consultations, assisting in the Operating Room (OR) and Emergency Department (ED), prescribing and dispensing medication, and interpreting diagnostic test results. Working alongside our skilled team of surgical residents, you will provide specialized care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), supporting postsurgical patients during the critical postoperative period. With cross-training in various subspecialties such as ENT, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, and urology services, you will contribute to comprehensive patient care, provide expert consults, and ensure prompt response to the needs of our Emergency Department.
Requirements
- Licensure as a PA in New York State required
- Certification as a PA by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) OR 3 years surgical PA experience is required
- BLS & ACLS certificate required
