Blair Fire Protection, a top industry leader in fire prevention and protection, has an immediate opening for a licensed Journeyman Service Sprinkler Fitter to join our growing team in the Neenah/Fox Valley, WI area.
Your pivotal role as a Sprinkler Fitter will involve the installation, service, and inspection of automatic fire protection sprinkler systems at various residential and commercial projects in the northeast/central WI area. You will also help grow the industry by assisting with the training and development of sprinkler fitter pre-apprentices and apprentices. Your employment relationship will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement with UA Local 669 upon hire.
Local travel is required, primarily in the northeast/central WI area. A company service van is provided.

A Day in the Life of a Sprinkler Fitter
- Install, inspect, and repair fire sprinkler systems
- Install plumbing fixtures, fix, and replace defective and outdated sprinklers
- Organize materials and maintain job site tools to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints
- Communicate with general contractors and other trades to ensure project goals are met
- Responsible for training and development of pre-apprentices and apprentices on the job sites
- Clean up job site vehicle and tools
Qualifications:
- 5 years of residential and commercial experience with service and inspections
- Knowledge of NFPA Standards, including NFPA 13, 13R, 14, 20 and 25
- Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret fire protection architectural blueprints and structural plans
- Computer proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence
- Proficient with scheduling work, ordering parts, and following up on work through completion
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift/move up to 80 lbs
- A valid driver s license and clean driving record are required
- Current WI state journeyman sprinkler fitter license or eligible to obtain state licensure by date of hire
