Junior Graphic Designer Job Description Entry Level
We are an established consumer electronics manufacturer with a few brands under our roof, expanding quickly. At Naxa, you will experience product categories such as audio, charging, video, and more.
We are seeking an in-house, on-site Junior Graphic Designer to join our growing team. In the Art Department, you will be designing, editing, proofing, archiving, and formatting - retail packaging, product photography, digital images, web assets, marketing materials, trade show signage, catalogs, social media content, and more. The ideal candidate will be organized, creative, and able to take direction and shift focus from one project to another when required based on the company's needs. This role is a great opportunity to build upon your skills while contributing to manufactured consumer products.
Responsibilities:
Able to prioritize projects to meet strict deadlines.
Use various techniques to create artwork drafts and mockups.
Produce final design solutions (like logos, banners, packaging, web assets, etc.)
Pitch creative ideas.
Collaborate with team members to launch projects.
Take on design tasks (e.g., product photography, color correction, image cleanup, formatting).
Use feedback from other designers and management to improve.
Flexibility and willingness to learn and understand.
Maintain asset library according to company requirements.
Requirements and Skills
A bachelor's degree in graphic design, packaging design, or related field is strongly preferred.
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
Familiarity or willingness to learn Adobe Acrobat and other company-used software.
Familiarity with design techniques (e.g., prototyping, packaging mockups, print vs digital file requirements).
Understanding of visual elements (layout, type, color, and typefaces)
Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude
Digital photography editing techniques and correction.
Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Strong attention to detail.
Organized and consistent
Time management and multitasking abilities
