Our Second Shift Packaging Lead position may be the right fit for you! We are looking for a second shift Packaging Lead that can help us keep up with the high demand of beverages we are producing on a weekly basis. This role is full-time, reports directly to the Production Manager and is located onsite at 8th Wonder Brewery.
Reports to: Production Manager
Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Effectively communicate daily with the Production Manager to understand needs of the business for the shift
- Efficiently hold the second shift team accountable for hitting daily and weekly KPI s while ensuring all SOP s are being followed
- Conducting daily maintenance on packaging machines
- Maintain an immaculately clean and safe work environment
- Maintain a healthy, positive, team-oriented work environment
- Ability to work on canning line packing out cases
- Completing quality control checks on packaged beverages during a run
- Setup for canning run, building packaging materials, palletizing cans and shrink wrapping when necessary
Qualifications:
- Experience leading a team of at least 5 or more employees
- Experience in food, beverage or CPG manufacturing industry a plus
- Worked on a production line and handled pack out, bottling, canning etc.
- Experience operating industrial equipment; such as forklifts, canning lines, keg washers.
- Machinery maintenance experience and ability to work with tech support and machine manuals a plus
- Comfortable utilizing computer systems, such as Odoo, Microsoft software systems, Excel, etc
- Capable of leading a team to stay on track and consistently hit KPI s, ability to problem solve with minimal assistance.
- Clean and valid driver s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to work rotating shifts and adjust schedule to meet production demands
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more
- Comfortable working in a warehouse setting
