Position Overview
As an Associate with our firm, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of workers compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity, including:
- Handle all aspects of litigation from intake up to settlement or trial.
- Interact well with our clients for legal consultation or advice, which includes insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators.
- Create litigation plans.
- Proactively handle files with precision and expertise.
- Create budget plans, if necessary.
- Prepare cases for trial and conduct them while maintaining exceptional client interaction.
- Negotiate or transact any matter for or on behalf of clients.
- Represent clients at depositions or other discovery matters.
- Communicate with clarity and professional integrity to convey complex legal matters.
- Guide non-attorney team members as needed.
What we expect you ve got
- Member of the California State Bar in good standing.
- 1 - 4 years of experience as an attorney in Workers Compensation Defense.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable using technology in a paperless environment
