Summary

The Field Service Technician is familiar and able to diagnose and repair any system or problem that may occur for any of the equipment the company services. The Field Service Technician III works independently and has a very high-level ability to inspect and service customer equipment assuring product performance, addresses and resolves questions and problems regarding products, and conducts training and service programs in the operation and maintenance of products. The Field Technician III is very knowledgeable in electrical and mechanical processes. The Field Technician III may be asked to perform welding, fabrication and machining repair, and solve complex electrical/electronic problem.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Install, inspect, and start up all equipment at customer sites (if needed) according to specifications and drawings.

2. Monitor and/or help with the erection and installation of equipment to ensure that company guidelines and tolerances have been met.

3. Service all company products at customer sites; testing, troubleshooting and adjusting as needed.

4. Use, with a high level of competency, various gauges, meters, tools and electrical testing equipment to check specifications.

5. Provide technical support to customers over the telephone, addressing and resolving questions and problems.

6. Communicate with appropriate company employees regarding product problems to facilitate problem resolution.

7. Conduct training and service programs in the operation and maintenance of equipment for customer employees.

8. Complete all required records and documentation for customers and for the company.

9. Remain technically competent and keep current in new developments within the industry.

11. Maintain the highest level of competency & training in the service organization.

Education and/or Experience

Associates degree, or higher, and 5+ years of technical experience, or equivalent. Certification in mechanical or electrical processes preferred.
