Responsibilities
The Grounds and Maintenance Technician is responsible for basic maintenance and repair on
multiple properties while also maintaining and achieving a functional and pleasant outdoor
environment for all Pizzuti properties which includes office, mixed use, and industrial buildings
Qualifications
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and assist with maintenance projects.
- Perform electrical lighting maintenance, including bulb and ballast replacement.
- Conduct roof inspection as part of preventive maintenance.
- As necessary for each building; inspect motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, some painting and other minor maintenance projects.
- Operates electric and diesel fire pumps and generators.
- Assists in checking and minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks.
- Check in with tenants on as needed basis, must be courteous and professional.
- Electronic Surface provided for work order input and completion details.
- Oversee vendor s contracted work and develop vendor relationships.
- Removes trash on Pizzuti properties daily.
- Must have ability to handle multiple tasks, and coordinate projects to completion by assigned deadlines.
- Must work well as an individual, with a team and with vendors.
- Participates in rotation for providing 24-hour maintenance emergency coverage.
- Complete general labor tasks and other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 100 lbs. maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work on their feet for 8 + hours per day.
- Must be able to use ladders frequently as well as going up and down stairs, bending, squatting, lifting, pulling/pushing.
- Must move furniture as needed, must be able to use cleaning and painting products and electric hand tools.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid Ohio driver s license and must be able to be insured by our insurance company.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
