Salary: $100,000 - 130,000/year
This position allows for 1-2 days per week remote after on boarding.
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing concrete structures for a variety of projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, bridges, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering principles, concrete design, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze concrete structures, including beams, columns, slabs, foundations, and retaining walls, using engineering software and calculations.
- Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and simulations to ensure the integrity, safety, and durability of concrete structures.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for construction projects, incorporating design codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated design solutions and resolve technical issues.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures, provide recommendations for repairs or modifications, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Review and approve construction documents, shop drawings, and material submittals related to concrete work.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers, drafters, and project teams throughout the design and construction phases.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advances in concrete technology, and best practices in structural engineering.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on concrete design for buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and AutoCAD/Revit for drafting and modeling.
- Strong knowledge of concrete design codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE) and seismic design principles.
- Experience with project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
