Position: Packaging Operator II
Shifts Available: First, Second, and Third
Starting Pay up to $19 per Hr
Immediate openings for Full Time positions on First,Second, and Third Shifts
Nature's Bakery, a fast-growing national brand of better-for-you snacks, has immediate openings for a Packaging Operator II to support our new production Line 4. We have openings on First and Second shift and offer 40+ hours a week for Full time employees.
As a Packaging Operator, you are an essential worker responsible for oversight of the machines used to place our fast-selling fig bars and new products, such as Organic Baked-Ins and Oatmeal Crumble bars, into wrappers, boxes, and cartons. You will be able to stay active as you perform the basics of machine operation, cleaning, and maintenance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Responsible for adding goods into their correct mass flow containers and preparing them for disbursement. Cleans and prepares containers before placing goods in them.
- Modifies, weighs, and inspects materials and products during manufacturing process to meet requirements and detect defects.
- Loads and removes materials and products into machines and equipment, using hand tools and moving devices.
- Understands and adheres to the standards set for Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure optimum work cycles.
- Responsible for packaging integrity and quality checks on each packaging order.
- Ability to utilize ERP system for tracking production material usage (cartons, film, cases).
- Assist maintenance with equipment changeovers utilizing change parts, the HMI (Human Machine Interface), and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with leads and supervisors to identify major downtime causes and collaborate to provide solutions.
