Education and Experience Requirements


  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Completion of laboratory courses or relevant coursework with hands-on experience in laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Strong foundation in basic scientific principles and laboratory practices.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations required for dilutions and sample preparations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Job Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Laboratory Technician. This position will primarily involve supporting general laboratory operations, including cleaning, inventory management, solution preparation, and sample handling.


The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform calculations for dilutions and sample preparations accurately.

  • General Laboratory Duties:
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the laboratory environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Adhere to laboratory guidelines and regulations at all times.


Inventory Management:

  • Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records of laboratory supplies and consumables.
  • Assist in ordering and restocking laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Monitor expiration dates and proper storage of chemicals and reagents.


Solution and Consumable Preparation:

  • Prepare solutions and reagents according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of prepared solutions to maintain traceability and accessibility.
  • Assist in the maintenance of equipment used in solution preparation.


Calculations and Sample Preparation:

  • Perform calculations for dilutions and sample preparations accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in the preparation of samples for analysis or experimentation as directed by laboratory staff.
  • Maintain detailed records of sample preparation procedures and outcomes.


Labeling and Documentation:

  • Label tubes, containers, and other laboratory items accurately and legibly.
  • Assist in the documentation of experimental procedures, observations, and results as required.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards and quality control procedures.
