Inventory Manager


Job Details

Our client, a recognized leader in the manufacturing of electrical, steel, and wireless products, is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee and enhance the management of inventory processes at one of their facilities. The Inventory Manager will lead a dedicated team responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing material flow, and implementing strategic improvements to inventory management systems.

Focus:

  • Manage and lead a team of 4-5 direct reports responsible for receiving, yard management, material movement, and consumption.
  • Review, evaluate, and enhance existing processes and procedures related to inventory tracking, consumption, and valuation.
  • Collaborate closely with the production department to ensure visibility of available inventory for production planning and scheduling.
  • Implement new procedures for auditing inventory on a recurring basis to improve accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Work in conjunction with management to develop innovative strategies for optimizing material stocking and handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, management, and procurement teams to leverage NetSuite ERP for real-time inventory planning, tracking, and management.


Skill Set

  • High school diploma required; associate degree in relevant field preferred.
  • 5+ years of inventory management experience, preferably in a heavy steel environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Team-focused mentality with the ability to solve problems collaboratively across departments.
  • Experience working within an ERP/MRP system to track inventory movements and valuation.
  • Prior experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment preferred.
