Since 1986, our client has been Restoring Properties and Rebuilding Lives for homeowners and business owners in the Greater Detroit Metro Area, and throughout Southeast Michigan. They provide a 24/7/365 emergency response to their customers, whether in need of disaster restoration or commercial renovation.

They are experiencing rapid growth and would like to add an experienced Construction Estimator to their TEAM.

Salary range is $70,000 to $90,000 annually based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough site inspections to accurately assess the scope of work.
• Proficiently prepare estimates using Xactimate software to ensure precise and comprehensive cost evaluations.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with clients, adjusters, and property managers to foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
• Diligently document all activities and communication in company systems, utilizing tools such as MS Outlook, Xactimate, Dash, and Encircle.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with clients, employees, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project coordination.
• Employ persuasive communication skills to articulate solutions and highlight their inherent value to stakeholders.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other departments to ensure the overall success and efficiency of projects.

Qualifications:

• 2 plus years experience in Construction and/or Restoration estimating.
• Must be able to be on-call after hours for emergency calls on a rotational basis.
• Strong computer skills are a must.
• Experience with Xactimate and DASH.
• Have a working knowledge of applicable building codes.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to negotiate subcontractor's pricing/cost.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.
• Provide superior customer-client experience.
