Paper Products Marketing (PPM) is a supplier and distributor of various papers and paper products to more than 70 countries. We operate six offices, across Asia and the US to service the requirements of our partner paper mills and our customers around the world.
Headquartered in Melbourne Australia, we are a fully owned subsidiary of Opal Group and part of Nippon Paper Group. We manufacture, supply and distribute many grades of paper into the food, industrial and packaging segments.
About the Opportunity....
As the President PPM, based in Portland, Oregon, you will lead the PPM USA team to ensure continued long-term growth for the business. PPM USA supports the Opal business with export paper sales, primarily throughout North and South America. In addition, the business sources paper products for sales in Asia, and partners with our Opal Bag Solutions business in Australia to grow export sales of our bag products.
This role will be a hands-on role managing both the USA team in Portland as well as existing customer relationships. In your role you will also be responsible for sourcing paper products and focusing on growth and new customer acquisition for the USA business.
About You
This is a senior level role within our PPM business, running the USA office and business in Portland, and so requires an individual with significant experience, ideally with a background working in the paper industry.
We are looking for someone with:
- A minimum of 10 years experience in a senior sales role, preferably with international sales experience
- Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, marketing or commercial management would also be advantageous
- Team leadership and management experience
- Excellent sales, negotiation and business relationship management skills
- Well-developed business and commercial acumen
