Inventory- Shipping/Receiving Coordinator


Job Details

Position Summary

Under the general guidance of the facility manager receive and document incoming inventory items, put items away, cycle count inventory, load and unload trucks, pick orders, shrink wrap products, pack and label boxes for shipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Load and unload electrical equipment from vendors and customers.
  • Submit all receiving and shipping paperwork to the appropriate department.
  • Maintain neat, clean, and professional personal appearance and maintain vehicle appearance professionally.
  • Establish and maintain excellent customer service.
  • Package products sold for shipping (strapping, palletizing, crating, shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
  • Clean and maintain the work area.
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
  • Remove waste from the facility.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment.
  • Follow all safety rules and report any accidents or injuries promptly to management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience moving and unloading equipment using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, lift carts, etc.
  • Able to multitask and produce a quality, error-free work product.Ability to recognize problems and to obtain and provide information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills to include both MS Word & Excel
  • Flexibility and work overtime as needed.
  • For positions that utilize a company vehicle, will be required to have a valid driver's license.

Travel:Up to 25%

Type: Full-time

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Compensation: $17-$24

Relocation: No relocation provided

Physical Demands: Position requires standing and using computer and/or phone for extended periods of time.
