Our client in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.
This is a direct hire/full-time/hybrid position
Salary range based on experience: $80K - $90K
Basic Requirements:
- At least 3 years of financial close process and financial reporting
- Accounting degree (bachelor's or master's)
- A finance degree or MBA is considered only when they have relevant work experience
- Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with ERP software
- Problem-solving skills
- Great communication skills
- Full onsite work environment to start. Hybrid opportunities available after training
Responsibilities Include
- Primarily responsible for inventory, payroll, fixed assets, and financial close process.
- Assist inventory count compilation and perform recount audit. Maintain proper inventory sub-ledger.
- Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of reconciliations of general ledger accounts and posting journal entries. Perform financial analysis.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and various financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget and update financial forecasts
- Process payroll
- Prepare and file state sales tax and CAT returns and issue forms 1099
- Provide audit and tax filing assistance to CPA firm
- Document and update standard operating procedures
- Support process improvements
- Perform ad hoc projects as assigned
