The Thermal Ceramics division designs, manufactures and installs a broad range of thermal insulation products that significantly reduce energy consumption and emissions in a variety of high temperature processing applications. Responsibilities:

Positions starting at $18.00/hr

Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Team Leader, these positions are responsible for the safe and efficient manufacture, packaging, and inspection of our products.

Job Functions

  • Placement of materials on conveyor system.
  • Weigh and package ceramic fiber blanket rolls in various packaging configurations.
  • Erect cartons and ensure each carton is properly labeled
  • Meet established production and quality standards
  • Operate material handling equipment such as a hand truck, pallet jack and forklift.
  • Complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
  • Report malfunctions of equipment and deficiencies in processes.
  • Attain quality and quantity standards and keep accurate records.
  • Complete Take-5 Risk assessment and/or Pre-Flight Check lists at the beginning of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.
  • Must report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Take action to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least six (6) months previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Willing to be cross- trained in other positions.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Understanding and knowledge of reading basic measuring devices such as a tape measure.
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to obtain powered industrial vehicle (forklift / pallet jack) certifications.

Schedule Description

  • Must be willing and able to work an 8-Hour or 12-Hour rotating shift schedule.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

Work Environment

  • This position will work primarily on the production floor.
  • The noise level in the work environment is consistently above 85 decibels when on the production floor.
  • During summer months, employee may have to work in temperatures as high as 110 degrees for prolonged periods of time.
  • Dust from machine processes is constantly present.
  • The employee constantly works near rotating equipment, mechanical parts, and lift trucks.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or vapors or hazardous products such as degreasers and silicone spray.
  • Required to wear steel toed shoes, safety glasses and ear plugs in the manufacturing area. Respirators may be required in specific areas of the plant.
