The ideal candidate will be a Mid-Level Cost Engineer/Estimator with a proven track record of preparing cost estimates, risk assessments and controls through the planning and design phases. This position is full-time and requires United States Citizenship.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates in-house using software and estimating programs for Design-Build (DB) and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects conceptual and schematic design, development and construction documents
  • Meet with clients and designers to discuss cost repercussions
  • Provide technical reviews of project constructability design and analysis
  • Execute change order analyses and reviews
  • Conduct electronic take-offs on various architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems
  • Travel 10% typically once a quarter for short durations (2-5 days)


Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply oneself when challenged


Preferred

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP) Certification or equivalent
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agencies
  • Construction management experience
  • Knowledge of OST, PlanSwift or RSMeans
