Material Handler I I

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the overall delivery and take away of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods from the production floors, and proper storage in warehouse.

* Wrap and store (according to FIFO) Finished Goods from the production floor.

* Assist with picking and packing Finished Goods for shipment to customer.

* Recommend measures to improve material flow to and from the production areas, and storage solutions to maximize useful shelf-life of all materials.

* Work closely with production expeditors to ensure timely flow raw ingredients for production according to production schedule

* Load and unload trucks transport raw materials and packaging to designated storage areas.

* Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and as a member of a team 3 shifts of coverage available.

* Must understand FIFO concepts

* Operate forklift

* Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on forklift limited to operation checklist.

* Participate in inventory cycle counts.

* Participate in quarterly full inventory counts.

* Maintain and organized, clean and safe Warehouse while working.

* Follow company GMPs (good manufacturing practices) and all other quality programs as they relate to the warehouse department

* Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required

* Committed to quality in packaging, raw materials and finished goods.

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and forklift experience.

* Skills: Basic math skills

* Experience: Warehouse experience

* Systems: LEAN Manufacturing.
