Ventus Executive Solutions (VES) is seeking a Computer Science or Modeling Analyst with experience in a diverse set of languages and software applications to join our exciting team located on site in Dahlgren, VA.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in design, development, and implementation of computational models to address specific challenges, utilizing their expertise in computer science. The ideal candidate has a passion about leveraging their computer science and modeling skills to drive innovation. The candidate should have experience with developing and implementing advanced computational models to solve complex problems and optimize processes. This candidate will be essential in contributing to the design and improvement of our systems, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
The anticipated work location is in Dahlgren, VA. Travel: less than 10%.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Modeling, or other related field
- 5-10 years relative work experience
- Proven experience in developing and implementing computational models
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Proficiency in data analysis and machine learning techniques, such as; Tensor Flow/ PyTorch.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment
- Active Top Secret/SCI
Desired Experience - Master's degree
- Familiarity with modern computer vision and tools like YOLO, SAM.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models and tools like LangChain.
- Understanding of Data Science concepts like; Sampling, Normalization, Data Augmentation.. etc.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance existing algorithms and develop new ones, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy
- Experience with the Department of Defense/Department of the Navy
- Publications or contributions to the field of computer science or modeling
