Indrotec is looking for a qualified Cell Lead to join the production team at Cretex Medical in Brooklyn Park. Cretex Medical specializes in the manufacture of custom plastic products for multi-national Fortune 500 companies all over the world. The Cell Lead is an integral part of leading their assigned area and shift, responsible for the safety and leadership of production workers, and ensuring production initiatives are being executed in a safe, compliant, and timely manner. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assign tasks to Set-Up Technicians, Material Handlers, and Production Employees
  • Provide a safe work environment and ensures adherence to all safety policies
  • Communicate and enforces all safety processes and procedures
  • Investigate and reports all safety related incidents
  • Drive employee engagement in safety through the safety program
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to full time and temporary employees
  • Audit performance, ensuring quality and compliance of the manufactured product
  • Lead process adherence: run rates, recipe, technique, and equipment
  • Identify and report incapable processes: recipe, equipment, and documentation
  • Understand and meets assigned metrics and key process indicators
  • Execute against daily production schedule
  • Lead inter-shift communication and Gemba activities
  • Manage team performance and provides solutions
  • Support, drives, and improves workplace organization (5S)
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of injection molding presses, manufacturing equipment and automation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and
  • training documents
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge of math for manufacturing
  • Experience with ERP/MRP business systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to take direction from the production supervisor
  • Ability to collaborate and assist team managers, peers and subordinates
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Two-year Technical Degree or Associates Degree
  • Injection mold set-up or process technician experience
  • Leadership experience
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • IQMS software
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand basic tolerances
  • Forklift Certification

Schedule

  • 2nd shift: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm
