Talent Consultant Group is partnered with a civil engineering firm that is looking to add a CAD Technician to their growing Land Development team in Jacksonville, FL.
As a CAD Technician, you will be part of a team that will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in Florida and across the country. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of plan production and design standards for agencies throughout northeast Florida. You will work under the direction of a licensed Professional Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support for assigned projects, using a computer as an aid to drafting and design.
- Completes detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specification, and written and verbal instructions using computer-aided drafting programs.
- Ability to set up complete engineering plan sets based on industry standards with minimal direction.
- Reviews all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to Project Engineer or Project Manager for review.
- Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes calculations with specific instructions.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Maintains neat and orderly work area, which allows access to project information to other team members.
Qualifications:- At least two (2) years Civil 3D experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
