Microsoft 365 IT Engineer (100% Remote/Contract)

Optomi, in partnership with a major client in the healthcare industry, is seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer. This engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and validating the migration of an organization's data and applications to Microsoft 365 cloud platform from legacy systems. In addition, they will work closely with different teams and stakeholders to ensure a successful migration project.

Responsibilities:

• Migrate the organization from legacy system to Microsoft 365 suite
• Work with stakeholders and Microsoft support team during migration
• Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Office 365 solutions for the company
• Assess the current state of the organization's IT infrastructure and identify the migration scope, risks, and dependencies.
• Document the migration process, procedures, best practices, and knowledge transfer
• Develop PowerShell scripts to execute bulk activities related to migration, reporting and troubleshooting issue.
• Configure and deploy the Microsoft 365 services and features, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and Intune.
• Plan and execute Microsoft 365 migrations, upgrades, and integrations with other systems and platforms.

• Hands on engineering experience withe Microsoft/O365 stack- Teams, Sharepoint, Power Apps, Intune, Defender, AD, etc.
• Strong Powershell experience to help automate an environment and processes
• Documentation experience establishing SLA's and allowing for knowledge transfer
• Ability to teach/mentor others on O365 and its products/offerings
