As a Service Technician, you will support the Cobb County territory. The Service Technician is essential to ensuring proper troubleshooting network printing and network scanning capabilities of Toshiba brand digital multi-functional equipment. The Service Technician position is also responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with each individual customer.
What You ll be Doing
- Manage and maintain accurate parts inventory.
- Will provide support to the Sales Department ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
- Maintain, service and repair equipment at customer locations in assigned territories effectively and efficiently. This includes but is not limited to diagnostics, installation, modifications, upgrades, removal, training, and retrofits of equipment.
- Ensure machines are maintained in a clean and proper manner.
- Complete assigned field calls according to priority while executing proper time management.
- Coordinate with dispatch and keep them informed of all re-route activity as appropriate, advise management of problem areas as needed.
- Maintain tools and test equipment to ensure they are in service- ready condition.
- Rebuild components in shop to develop technical skills for field assignments.
- Ensure service activities are accurately documented according to service practices using automated systems and/or established reports. This includes but is not limited to call, mileage, and expense reports.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills of the Service Technician:
- Experience working with Toshiba brand, business technology in a related capacity to this role.
- Valid driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage, and a clean driving history.
- Reliable transportation to travel to customer sites.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands/working conditions which includes but is not limited to:
- Standing, hearing, sitting, walking, speaking, regular application of basic manual skills (driving, keyboard, eye/hand coordination).
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Preferred Skills of the Service Technician:
- Industry-related experience including the ability to troubleshoot digital copiers, printers and basic network problems.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
