Seeking a motivated Product Owner to synthesize eCommerce business initiatives into technical solutions and system design. These new solutions and designs will become the catalyst for driving revenue and new business. Seated within the Software Engineering departments, the Product Owner will champion and implement eCommerce platform enhancements for B2B and B2C market segments. As an adept collaborator and versatile facilitator, the Product Owner will report to the VP of IT with wide latitude and influence in the organization's eCommerce future.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create roadmaps without too many Rest Stops or Tourist activities
- Create delivery timelines for product testing and launches
- Break down (without tears) large product enhancements. Ideally into bite-size finger-food portions without too much sauce.
- Scribble down user stories on a notepad or napkin (in Agile format of course) and cunningly devise a grade-school level scavenger hunt for acceptance criteria.
- Earn participation trophies for Agile processes like hygienic grooming, planning a leisure Saturday, and daily Stand-up comic routines.
- Allow the royal Holders of the Stake to decry their Test of Acceptance.
- Synchronize, Synchronize, and why not Synchronize some more? Especially for those tricky crosswords and other functional dependencies.
- Help the IT folks demonstrate their shiny new object to the Holders of the Stake.
Requirements
- 3 years (maybe less, maybe more) of having "Product" in your job title, or a synonym of the like.
- Know Agile. What it smells like, its wine pairings, its fear of Waterfalls.
- Write excellent thank you cards and succinct grocery lists.
- Experience balancing things (intangible or otherwise).
- Hold experience in eCommerce software outside of shopping on Amazon or Etsy.
