**Providence is calling a Food Service Worker (Dietary, Variable** **Shift, 1.0 FTE, 40 hours a week) to** **St Elias Specialty Hospital** **in Anchorage, Alaska.** **We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.**

**In this position you will:**
* Exercise sanitary and safe handling of food and equipment
* Carefully follow directions and serves only food specified on modified diets
* Use courtesy and tact in dealing with patients, nursing staff, physicians, guests and facility personnel
* Prepare cold food for serving and sets up serving line
* Set up and replenishes salad bar
* Place food on patients tray according to menu and diet requirements
* Serve food to patients, guests, patients family members and facility personnel adhering to standardized portions
**Qualifications:**
**Required qualifications for this position include:**
* Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
* Anchorage Food Worker Card
**Preferred qualification for this position include:**
* Kitchen experience, preferably healthcare related
