After dedicating her career to helping women navigate early motherhood, founder Wendy Colson - a registered nurse (RN) & International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) - created a solution-based brand designed to empower moms in every stage of #momlife. After a winning pitch on Shark Tank, BOOBIE* products are now sold in Target, Walmart, Thrive Market, and boutique retailers across the US.
About the Role:
We re looking for a resourceful and motivated part-time Graphic Designer to own the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts photos, GIFS and more. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message across our homepage, paid ads, email/sms and social media efforts. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we d like to meet you!
Responsibilities:
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity.
- Partner with our content team to drive end-to-end development of impactful content, from ideation to asset creation.
- Develop & refine brand and product messaging with senior leadership, ensuring key messaging is consistent across all customer touchpoints.
- Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements.
- Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately.
- Amend designs after feedback.
Who You Are:
- Open to work, around 20 hours/ week
- Ideally, the ability to commute and work from our San Marcos, CA office (2x week) or in the San Diego or Los Angeles area to commute in for a monthly meeting
- Two+ years of experience in professional graphic design with a strong portfolio
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Canvas, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Ideally would have experience in beauty or wellness e-commerce and retail partners like Target or Walmart but not necessary.
- Self-starter with strong initiative, ownership, and accountability for business goals/financial targets.
- Passionate about creating compelling content; not afraid to test big ideas.
