Synerfac is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager for our client in Salem, VA. Our client is a valued supplier of precast concrete pipe and structures in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States.
The primary responsibility of this position is to direct and manage all plant production operations, with overall responsibilities for production, safety, quality, and other production-related activities. This position reports to the Plant Manager and is FLSA Exempt (Salary). Compensation will be based on proven experience, work history, and knowledge of the industry.
Essential Functions:
- Direct and manage plant operations for safe and efficient production of quality concrete pipe and precast concrete.
- Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
- Control and minimize labor overtime and repair expenses.
- Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; makes recommendations to plant manager to replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives, with one of the top goals to be safety.
- Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
- Incorporates organization and cleanliness among plant personnel.
- Provides direction, development, and leadership to plant personnel.
Job Requirements
Details:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory function of building materials manufacturing
- Must have a valid driving license.
Working Conditions:
Office work will be performed in clean, climate-controlled areas, with fluorescent lighting. Will frequently enter the production environment, with ambient weather/air conditions, loud noise, dangerous equipment, and variable lighting.
