Warehouse Team Lead
New Albany, Ohio

Position Summary:

The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing activity of their assigned department and shift and providing daily direction to the team regarding work assignment and priorities. Role models our purpose and values so that the team delivers safety, quality, cost, and reliability targets daily. Demonstrates creative thinking to solve issues, ensure critical objectives are met while executing projects to continuously improve area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direction and training for team. Leads daily direction setting for their team, tracks shift performance, communicates expectations, assigns work, troubleshoots and problem solves and makes appropriate corrective actions when issues arise. Ensures team is following standard work.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the team ensuring all members participate in BBS/MDSE program and attend the monthly departmental safety meetings, as well as properly use required PPE and equipment operating procedures.
  • Trains mentors and develops team members to enable an agile workforce that is cross-trained and increases their knowledge on equipment/processes and functions.
  • Assist in driving root cause problem-solving with urgency and ensure team uses continuous improvement tools like Autonomous Maintenance, 5-S, Clean, Inspect and Lubricate (CIL), Centerlines and Rapid Change Over (RCO).
  • Facilitate and troubleshoot technical problems to overcome routine manufacturing equipment issues for areas of responsibility. Partners and collaborates with maintenance to maintain and repair equipment.
  • Ensure that respective areas and departments are audit ready at any time by utilizing departmental GMP audit scores to effectively improve ratings.
  • Trained and capable of filling in for technician to cover for breaks and lunches or absenteeism.
  • Partners with internal and external customers to receive and distribute materials & supplies.
  • Creates, edits, and maintains records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices, GMPs and SOPs.
  • Maintains cleanliness of warehouse in compliance with department GMPs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

A High School diploma or its equivalent is required.

Certification:

Powered Industrial Truck Certification in operation of sit-down forklifts and motorized pallet jacks is required.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of three years of experience in assigned area, preferably in a lead or coordinator role.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Requires:
  • Ability to lead delivery of required results in Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost each shift.
  • Proficient English ability; required to read/understand written instructions, manuals, and other information; to maintain a variety of written records, and train, employees in a complex process of operating procedures and manufacturing instructions.
  • Excellent oral communications skills to train, assign work, and provide guidance to staff.
  • Ability to listen to and provide verbal directions to staff. Respond to requests for help while working on other activities.
  • Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and fix equipment malfunctions.
  • Working knowledge in MRP, WMS and radio frequency systems.
  • Knowledge of cGMP's basic safety practices in an industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with production goals and setting performance objectives.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards MRP systems is preferred.

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range
$37,515.00 - $61,808.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate's starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.

Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.

Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee's supervisor.
