Job Title: Senior Client Advisor - Accounting and Advisory Services

Location: New York, NY

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

  1. Client Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, demonstrating knowledge of industry trends, identifying issues, and proactively communicating solution options to clients and the team.
  2. Engagement Management: Manage staff on engagement deliverables, including financial statements, tax returns, and work papers. Conduct technical and strategic reviews to ensure quality control standards are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  3. Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficient technical skills in handling all client responsibilities, including understanding trends and industries.
  4. Client Relationship Management: Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements, and special projects. Develop overall engagement budgets and consistently meet charge hour goals.
  5. New Client Development: Partner with upper management to develop new client relationships. Participate in client meetings, presentations, proposal development, and cross-serving initiatives.
  6. Supervision and Mentorship: Supervise, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive team environment and supporting their professional growth.
  7. Team Collaboration: Foster a team environment, demonstrating support for management decisions and building a positive culture.
  8. Practice Development: Participate in practice development activities that lead to new business generation and cross-serving opportunities.
  9. Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any additional duties as assigned.


Preferred Qualifications: Education: Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Certification: Must have an active CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Engagement Management: Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient use of applicable technology.
Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000, based on education, experience, and skill set.
