Our esteemed organization, a leader in the Manufacturing industry, is actively seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is integral to our financial operations and requires a detail-oriented and experienced professional who is ready to take on a challenging and rewarding position. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our accounts receivable function. This includes invoicing, collections, credit memos, reconciliation, month-end assistance, and journal entries. Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing the entire invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate billing.
2. Managing collections, diligently and professionally pursuing overdue accounts.
3. Issuing credit memos and handling customer queries and disputes.
4. Performing account reconciliations, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
5. Assisting with month-end closing activities, including the preparation of necessary journal entries.
6. Collaborating with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues.
7. Reviewing and updating accounts receivable processes and policies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Maintaining accurate and complete financial records in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
9. Providing detailed reports on accounts receivable status to the management team.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounts Receivable Specialist role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts receivable role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in invoicing, collections, credit memos, reconciliation, month-end assistance, and journal entries.
3. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly desirable.
