LHH is looking for a direct hire Trademark Paralegal for a firm and they can sit in Ann Arbor, Bloomfield Hills, Chicago, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, or Lansing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of domestic and foreign trademark prosecution to manage trademark portfolios and coordinate U.S. and foreign trademark registration efforts.
- Handle all aspects of U.S. trademark prosecution, including preparing and filing necessary documents with the USPTO.
- Conduct trademark clearance searches and assist with infringement and clearance investigations.
- Correspond with clients and foreign counsel regarding trademark prosecution and maintenance matters.
- Prepare and file trademark documents with WIPO and U.S. Customs and Border Patrol.
- Assist with trademark enforcement matters, including oppositions, cancellations, and cease & desist letters.
- Perform due diligence on trademark portfolios and monitor attorney dockets to manage deadlines effectively.
- Maintain accurate records in trademark database (PATTSY) and generate reports as needed.
- Other duties as necessary to meet departmental and client needs.

- Salary range from $75,000 - $90,000 per year.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in the legal industry or a Legal Assistant Certificate from an ABA approved institution.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and ability to quickly learn new applications.
- Experience with trademark clearance databases and research tools.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
