**Position:** Dock Worker- Dayton **Location:** Dayton, OH **Job Id:** 8748 **# of Openings:** 1 **Dock Worker** **Summary**
Assist drivers in loading and unloading trucks. Will drive tow motor.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
- Unloads or loads trucks at dock.
- Helps to load trucks on pick-up routes.
- Sorts merchandise into containers for processing and distribution.
- Maintains a clean and safe working area.
**Education Requirements**
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required.
**Experience Requirements**
Experience operating a pallet jack, two-wheel dollies and four wheel carts. Forklift experience preferred, but not required.
**Qualifications**
Employee must maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record acceptable to GESMVs liability insurance.
Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
**Skills & Abilities**
- Able to load and unload trucks of merchandise including clothing, household goods, furniture and appliances.
- Able to use pallet jack, two-wheel dollies and four wheel carts.
- Able to sort and pack merchandise for safe storage or transport.
- Practical knowledge of dock work, including mechanical equipment used.
- Willingness to learn how to operate a forklift.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
