A large and growing Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing company is looking to hire a full time Senior Quality Engineer to join their team in Middlebury, CT. This position will be responsible for improving goals in a customer focused quality management system that supports an operations facility of precision machining as well as special processes.
Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities:
Leads internal audits to support QMS compliance to AS9100 and NADCAP certifications.
Analyzes root causes, develops corrective action to prevent recurrence of root cause, participates in verification of effectiveness of actions taken.
Ability to comprehend, communicate, and improve quality standards driven by customer specifications
Actively participates in Material Review Board assessments of defective materials then gives direction for containment, and/or disposition actions in a timely manner
Independently plans and implements improvement projects to inspection operations at key manufacturing workflow stages
Quality Engineer Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degrees + minimum 4 years of experience
Technical expertise in operations at the facility.
ISO/AS9100 quality system knowledge
