Beacon Hill Legal has an urgent need for an experience Intellectual Property Attorney to join the in-house legal department of an international pharmaceutical company in Princeton, NJ. Candidates with IP litigation, patent preparation and prosecution, and experience with IP licensing and technology transactions preferred. Candidates that only have one of these skills sets encouraged to apply! This is a great opportunity to round out your full-service, IP experience!
Qualified candidates must have 3+ years of Intellectual Property experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or life sciences field and have a degree in chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, or similar discipline. Candidates must be available to work onsite 3 days per week and be actively registered to practice before the U.S Patent and Trademark Office.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of IP experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or life sciences field
- Must be actively registered with the U.S Patent and Trademark Office and licensed in NJ
- IP Litigation experience required
- Experience drafting, reviewing and revising intellectual property related agreements.
- Experience conducting patentability, landscape and freedom to operate searches.
- Proven writing, editing and proofreading skills required.
- Comfortable preparing and prosecuting patent applications and providing IP guidance on IP filing and prosecuting strategies.
- Keen attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
