Job Description Salary:Public Relations & Community Event Specialist

Summary:The PR and Community Events Specialist is essential for enhancing the law firm's reputation and community engagement. By leading strategic PR campaigns, organizing community events, fostering referral partnerships, and managing a comprehensive newsletter, this role strengthens the firm's image as a leading authority in immigration law and a dedicated community ally. This multifaceted position is key to maintaining a positive public image and a strong community and professional network.

Responsibilities:Public Relations:Develop and implement public relations strategies to enhance visibility and reputation.Secure media appearances for the CEO, focusing on outlets reaching core demographics.Write press releases, articles, and communications highlighting the firm's achievements and expertise.Act as the primary liaison for media inquiries and interview requests.Expand a network of media contacts at local and national levels.Monitor and report PR results regularly.Collaborate with Marketing teams, ensuring PR efforts are published and shared through digital platforms, as necessary.Conduct research to discover and monitor influencers across various social media platforms who have a significant engagement for our audience.Event Management:Develop relationships with community leaders and organizations for engagement opportunities. Including award submissions.Organize community events that showcase the firm as a trusted authority on immigration law.Handle event logistics, including venue selection, promotion, and execution.Promote events across marketing and social media channels.Gather feedback to improve future community engagement efforts.Referral Partner Development:Identify and nurture relationships with potential referral partners across various disciplines.Participate in professional associations and community organizations to expand the referral network.Design and implement a referral program that incentivizes partners for client referrals.Organize seminars and workshops to demonstrate the firm's expertise to potential referral partners.Establish a system for tracking and evaluating referrals from partners.Maintain regular communication with referral partners through newsletters and personal outreach.Provide educational materials to referral partners to enhance understanding of the firm s services.Implement a feedback mechanism with partners to improve the referral process.Recognize and appreciate the contributions of referral partners through various acknowledgment programs.Newsletter Management:Design and produce a regular newsletter for internal and external distribution, highlighting firm news, achievements, upcoming events, and key legal updates.Collaborate with various departments to gather content and ensure the newsletter reflects the diverse activities and expertise within the firm.Develop a distribution strategy that reaches all employees, referral partners, and other stakeholders, maintaining engagement and fostering a sense of community.Monitor engagement metrics for the newsletter and use feedback to continuously improve content and design.

Skills and Abilities:Strategic thinker with a creative approach to problem-solving.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.Knowledgeable about current trends and best practices in public relations and event management.

Requirements:Bachelor s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.Experience in public relations, event planning, referral network building, and newsletter production.Established media contacts and a network of potential referral partners.Fluent in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.Creative thinking with excellent organizational and project management abilities.Proficiency in email marketing tools and newsletter design software.Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel for events and meetings.International and National travel to all locations will be required.

Job Type:
