Caesars Virginia Table Games Department is excited to announce an Entry Level Dealer in Training opportunity! The Dealer in Training will receive free classroom training to learn the skills and game knowledge to become a Table Games Dealer at Caesars Virginia.

Completion of the training classes as an Entry Level Dealer will not guarantee students a position as an Experienced Dealer. Instead, the course will provide skills and game knowledge to apply for an Experienced Dealer position. Students must pass an audition to apply at the conclusion of the course.

Responsible for all aspects of dealing with assigned games and assists the Table Games Service Supervisor in tracking play and game observation. Greets and recruits new casino customers while providing friendly, excellent service to every guest.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Acknowledges, greets, and converses in English with customers who approach the Table Games area.
  • Deals assigned games by delivering cards or assigned game pieces, determining winners and losers, collecting, and paying bets.
  • Protects the integrity of games through observation and follows appropriate procedures.
  • Reads, verify, and signs appropriate documents when necessary.
  • Greets guests with a proper company standard introduction and initiates conversation with guests.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.

Must be willing to work any day of the week and any shift.

Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.

Must present a well-groomed appearance.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to maneuver to work inside and continuously maneuver in and around the assigned tables in the Pit department during the entire shift, with regular interval breaks. Must be able to respond calmly and handle many customers' demands in a fast-paced environment. Responds to visual and aural cues. Must be able to memorize game rules and procedures. Must be able to perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets quickly and accurately. Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards, and money. Must be able to accurately balance chip bank at the beginning and end of shift. Must have excellent vision (including peripherals) to protect the games. Must be able to read, verify and sign appropriate documents relating to the game in a small area. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
