We are seeking a technically savvy and business-minded Technical Solutions Engineer to deeply partner with our most strategic and high-impact customers, guiding them through application ideation, development, and delivery to accelerate and maximize value. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong track record of delivering tailored solutions to enterprise clients by solving some of their biggest problems. As a highly cross functional team member, you ll work across Sales, Customer Success, Design, Product Management, Engineering, and Underwriting on high profile deals with executive engagement. We re looking for a proactive client-facing individual who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Commercial Leadership as the technical SME from ideation to launch
- Liaise with the Design, Product, Engineering & Underwriting teams ensuring on-time delivery for all sales & launch deliverables, PoCs, and required technical documents
- Work with Product Leadership to ensure internal development timelines are aligned and all engineering resourcing is allocated for on-time delivery
- cUnderstand business problems for our marketplace and platform partners, serving as their technical thought partner mapping custom applications via API.
- Design and deliver checkout workflows, API specs, perform user tests, and design PoCs for our merchant Partners; make recommendations for solving outlier use cases
- Experiment, prototype, and troubleshoot solutions to ensure successful deployment
- Scale the Technical Solution Engineering function through codifying best practices, and publishing documentation to our internal and external repositories.
- Validate, synthesize, and deliver high-signal feedback to Product and Engineering
- Conduct / participate in opportunity pre & post mortems, assisting with documentation
Requirements:
- Must be willing to work a schedule to accommodate both US and China overlapping business hours
- 7+ years of experience in Technical Solution Engineering at a B2B e-commerce company supporting enterprise level businesses
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or other quantitative field
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the confidence and gravitas to engage enterprise audiences.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of effectively managing complex integration projects from initiation to completion.
- Ability to understand and address complex business requirements, delivering custom-tailored solutions to meet client needs.
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, design, customer success, etc.
- Startup-ready mentality, with a dynamic and highly-motivated approach to work.
- Outstanding level of motivation and drive, consistently surpassing goals and expectations.
- Nice to have: bilingual in Mandarin
