Position andResponsibilities:
Supervise and provide direction to quality assurance technicians/auditors who are responsible for enforcing good manufacturing practices and other quality-related policies in order to meet product quality standards.
Review Production Records and other manufacturing-related documents to verify compliance and record keeping for all mandated manufacturing processes, quality checks, testing, sampling, and sanitation activities.
Audit quality control of raw materials, packaging components, labels, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications and regulatory standards.
Assist in the coordination of testing results involving finished products, raw materials, and packaging components and the appropriate release and hold programs associated with these materials.
Assist in Overseeing the "Red Tag" product program, including the status, release, and closing out of "Rejected" products.
Assist in investigating and correcting quality-related issues (including customer complaints) through collaboration with other departments.
Share knowledge, skills and information with other personnel in the Quality department and across functional areas.
Assist in the documentation and implementation of policies, operating procedures, quality systems and programs which ensure proper testing, evaluation, inspection, and technical support in order to meet product quality standards.

Ensure good performance by quality assurance technicians/auditors by mentoring, training, setting expectations, providing accountability, and performing evaluations. Review quality inspector time cards and job costing postings
Maintain a fair and professional work environment that focuses the business objectives, but also balances quality of work-life factors for employees.
Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings.
Perform other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
Education and Training: Extensive shop floor experience in fitting, welding and fabricating. Lean Manufacturing background and Lean Six Sigma a plus.
CWI required
Excellent quality assurance skills.
In-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of manufacturing
Good working knowledge of quality control standards including ISO9001; 2015, AISC, ASME
Experience with manufacturing and production processes and engineering principles.
Time management Skill: able to properly manage their time to meet production and delivery deadlines.
Problem-solving Skill: They are offer solutions to defects or limitations in production

RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation, shop specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
Work in all types of weather.
Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects
