Responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist I:

  • Prepare and manage logistics documentation for spares, tools, and materials deployment and stocking.
  • Coordinate shipping logistics, maintain records, and track materials for proper allocation in storage facilities.
  • Learn and adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements.
  • Perform physical tasks including walking, sitting, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive hand motions.
  • Work in varied conditions, occasionally exposed to outdoor elements, loud noises, and potentially hazardous materials, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed.


Required Skills of the Logistics Specialist I:

  • Exposure to inventory databases; familiarity with Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
  • Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
  • Must-have: Ability to operate a forklift; Experience with shipping databases like FedEx, DHL, UPS
  • Understanding of Shelf Life; Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
