Relate Search has partnered with a manufacturer in Houston, TX on their search for an Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for managing daily operations by ensuring timely completion of assemblies and orders, as well as maintaining safety compliance. The Operations Manager will get to manage all workshop personnel regarding work task allocation, supplies, and productivity.
Other Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain the company's operating procedures manual.
Serve as a liaison with all service providers, suppliers, and contractor personnel involved in operations.
Provide training, direction, and supervision for the different operations groups.
Assist project personnel in the construction, manufacturing, testing, and shipping of custom client equipment from a project management perspective.
Ensure that contracted work meets customers' schedules and objectives.
Actively participate in all management meetings.
Participate actively in the marketing and sales efforts of the company.
Manage and supervise workflow within Operations.
Maintain metrics for appropriate Operations functions.
Validate and verify quotes, including input on operations processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in industrial distribution or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the manufacturing process and can exhibit successful management techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Has a working knowledge of the ISO quality process.
A professional attitude and strong goal oriented approach to tasks.
